Las autoridades de la JCE entregaron valijas a las juntas electorales
Se proyecta que en el certamen trabajarán más de 150,000 personas
La Junta Central Electoral (JCE) entra esta semana en la recta final del montaje de las elecciones congresuales y presidenciales, proceso que sus autoridades aseguran está «prácticamente montado».
Este fin de semana, concluyó la entrega de las valijas a las juntas electorales, la campaña de motivación al voto y se completó la capacitación del personal de los colegios.
El presidente de la JCE, Román Andrés Jáquez Liranzo, reiteró que el montaje de los comicios «va viento en popa».
Informó que el pasado sábado se concluyó con la entrega de todas las valijas de las circunscripciones del Distrito Nacional y el municipio Santo Domingo Oeste. Se dejaron para último en la planificación del calendario por la cercanía y la estrategia de la dinámica electoral.
Jáquez Liranzo precisó que el pleno de la JCE está en sesión permanente y que en esta semana concretizarán las respuestas definitivas a las solicitudes de los partidos, aunque sostuvo se han estado dando soluciones a los casos presentados.
Con relación a la presencia de observadores del proceso comicial del domingo, dijo que vendrán alrededor de 90 representantes de la Organización de Estados Americanos y unos 40 de la Unión Interamericana de Organismos Electores (Uniore), entre otros.
El presidente de la JCE fue entrevistado en una plaza comercial en el cierre de la jornada de la campaña de motivación al voto que han estado desarrollando en todo el país. Estuvo acompañado de sus hijos Alejandro y Kirsy Jáquez y de su esposa Karina Concepción.
Desde Elecciones
Mario Núñez, director nacional de Elecciones de la JCE, aseguró que los trabajos se han adelantado y que todo está prácticamente montado.
«El proceso electoral está prácticamente montado precisamente a una semana de las elecciones, ya está relativamente todo montado, sin presión hemos concluido con los aspectos logísticos y educativos y lo que queda es las juntas electorales entregar el material a presidentes y secretarios e instalar los equipos el sábado 18», detalló.
Indicó que las juntas electorales también están avanzadas en su trabajo logístico y se encuentran el proceso de revisión de la cartonería y las valijas para determinar si falta algo y poderlos suplir con tiempo.
Además, refirió que los equipos de escaneo, digitalización, impresión y transmisión (Edet) fueron distribuidos a las juntas electorales debidamente configurados, y se hacen los ajustes finales de la ambientación de los recintos electorales para suplir las necesidades.
El director de Elecciones recordó a los partidos que la veda electoral es a partir del jueves, así como para el expendió de bebidas alcohólicas, un día después.
Reiteró que el día de las elecciones estará prohibido el proselitismo político en los recintos electorales.
De las elecciones
En los comicios del próximo domingo se escogerán 264 cargos electivos, incluído el presidente de la República.
En el proceso electoral se estiman que trabajarán más de 150 mil personas entre funcionarios electorales, técnicos, facilitadores y miembros de la Policía Militar Electoral (PME) distribuidos en todo el territorio nacional.
De acuerdo a Núñez el proceso de votación se iniciará a las 7:00 de la mañana y culminará a las 5:00 de la tarde, el que estará bajo la protección de la PME.
«Tendremos instaladas carpas de Cruz Roja, en los recintos con más de 10 colegios electorales, a los fines de prestar auxilios a las personas que lo requieran y señalar que en los recintos, a partir de las 5:00 de la tarde, se permitirá la entrada de los observadores de escrutinio, debidamente acreditados por la JCE», destacó.
Demanda de la oposición política
El pleno de la JCE se reunirá este lunes para tratar los puntos de reclamos que hacen los partidos de oposición a los que dará respuestas en esta semana.Se trata de los partidos de la Liberación Dominicana (PLD), Fuerza del Pueblo y Revolucionario Dominicano (PRD) que junto a sus aliados y en la denominada Alianza Rescate RD, ratificaron un pliegue de demandas, entre ellas que sean sustituidos, el director de la Policía Militar Electoral, mayor general Juan José Otaño Jiménez y los presidentes y secretarios de 1,510 colegios. Los partidos depositaron una comunicación el pasado viernes 10, en la que abogan además por la intervención de 13 juntas electorales y la toma de acciones en casos en los que aseguran se está violando la ley. Citaron entre ellos recintos electorales en la Laguna de Nisibón, Santo Domingo Este y el Distrito Nacional, en cuyo frente el oficialismo habría instalado comandos de campaña o tienen sedes.
