Las lluvias de los últimos días han favorecido las presas del país

El Instituto Nacional de Recursos Hidráulicos (Indrhi) informó que desde el 15 de abril hasta la fecha, los embalses de las principales presas del país han recibido 267.02 millones de metros cúbicos (MMC) de agua producto de las vaguadas que han afectado el país en los últimos días.
Respecto a embalses en la cuenca alta del río Nizao, que son Jigüey, Aguacate y Valdesia – Las Barías, el Indrhi resaltó su recuperación, ya que se encontraban sin recibir aportes de lluvia.
También resaltó que, producto del incremento en el caudal del río Nizao, Valdesia tiene un volumen de 100.95 millones de metros cúbicos (MMC), lo que representa un 77.5 % de su capacidad, con la cota a 146 metros sobre el nivel del mar (msnm), cuando el nivel máximo es 150 msnm.
Asimismo, la presa de Jigüey dispone de 109.05 MMC, lo que representa un 85.7 % de su volumen total, por lo que se encuentra en la cota 537.30 msnm. Su nivel máximo es la cota 541 msnm.
