El Consejo Estatal del Azúcar pretendía sacar algunas familias de supuestos terrenos del Estado
La Presidencia de la Cámara Civil y Comercial del Juzgado de Primera Instancia del distrito judicial de Puerto Plata ordenó al Consejo Estatal del Azúcar (CEA) detener los desalojos en las localidades Juan Martínez, Llano de Pérez, el municipio Imbert y otras zonas de Puerto Plata.
La decisión del tribunal fue emitida tras acoger una acción de amparo preventivo, luego de que funcionarios de la institución pretendían sacar algunas familias en Llano de Pérez, alegando que invadían terrenos del Estado dominicano.
En la instancia se prohíbe a los representantes del CEA, Henry Fontanilla y Félix Cabrera, desalojar a los accionantes y cualquier otra persona que habite en la comunidad en cuestión, sin antes agotar las vías procesales de lugar con el abogado del Estado, como establece la Ley 108-05 de Registro Inmobiliario.
